So far this blog has been going great! we've discussed a few different topics and now I really want to dive into the realm of music. Personally, I'm pretty diverse in my choice of tunes. I'm all about Rock(many kinds), Hip Hop, R&B, Country, Reggae, Jazz, Islander and probably some more I don't know by name.
I love it all, but hands down my favorite would have to be hip-hop. An album I've been into as of late is "Coloring Book" by Chance the Rapper. Some of you might know it, but if not I suggest giving it a chance (pun not intended haha). Also anything Billy Joel (for those who don't know he's older generation soft rock pop piano artist).
In fact I even make a little hip hop music myself: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOp_exEFMoIHuj2q2-mRrTg
I'm seriously interested in learning what kind of music you guys listen to so please let me know
in the comments about any good song of any genre that you think I (and any other viewers) should check out and I'll be sure to listen and give you my input.
Have a good day guys!

ENTRY #4
Hey everyone! So today I received a gift in the mail from the school nurse. I am a type 1 diabetic so I actually see the nurse twice everyday during the school year. Her name is Jackie and she's great! She's always positive and puts a smile on my face everyday! Obviously Jackie is extremely caring just for the fact that she would send me a gift through the mail with an encouraging card to go with it.
The book is: "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul" I haven't read it yet (other than the synopsis), but I have heard that it's chalk-full of uplifting (and relatable) stories. I am looking forward to it for sure. If anyone has read it I would love to hear opinions/reviews in the comments. Just no spoilers please.
Quote on card: "If everyone were the same, the world would be a pretty boring place. Be proud of what makes YOU stand out from the crowd. We are." Let me know what you guys think about that.
Hope all you guys have a righteous day today. Take care.

ENRTY #3
Its been 8 days since I woke up in the recovery room of the hospital feeling dazed, numb, and all around gross. Not to mention the pounding headache and giant mummy wrapped boot on my left foot. Since my surgery, I haven't left the house. For that matter, I've barely left the couch. The doctor advised me to keep the foot elevated at all times in order to recover swiftly and although that's extremely uncomfortable after a long period of time, the faster I recover is the faster I can be back on the football field.
The loss of movement and all activity (For my entire summer and football season junior year) has me feeling discouraged a lot. Luckily the last book I read in English class was the book "Night" by Eli Weisel. The book's description of such horrific events and atrocities forced onto the Jewish People has helped me become grateful for all the good things still in my life. I'm not going to spoil anything from this terrific true story, but I will say that every single crime and horror put onto the Jews in that book makes my broken foot seem like a walk in the park. I mean, none of the Jews had a ps3 to play, a laptop to use, and a brand new ukulele to play to get them through their hard times.
The point is, through all the boredom and self-pity, the only true happiness I've found is through gratitude. When I think of all the ways God has blessed me, It puts me in a better mood then how I usually felt before the injury happened. Hope everyone has a great rest of their day and also lets me know what they think of my posts in the comment section!

Today as gift to help me pass the time (recovering from my foot injury) my mom went out and bought me a ukulele to practice on. I've played the uke many times in the past, but never actually owned one myself. So far, the only song I've mastered completely is "You Are My Sunshine".
If any of you guys have any suggestions for songs I should learn next, go ahead and leave a comment (possibly a link to a tutorial). Also let me know if anyone here plays an instrument and/or what they do with it. Hope everyone has a good day and God bless!

ENTRY #1
Here I am, a 16 year old boy starting an online blog. Personally, I never thought that I would start my own Blog. I didn't even really grasp the concept of what an online blog was until I severely broke my foot and became bedridden for 2 months. During this time I researched a wide variety of Online blogs written by an even wider variety of authors both young and old. Within this research I became aware of how easy (and cool) it can be to share opinions with others online. This blog is aimed towards (but not limited to) teenagers both male and female interested in discussing basically any topic.
Ie: School, friends, music, social media, sports, etc.
